Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Super Scraper ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What Super Scraper Is

Super Scraper is a public-interest research tool that aggregates publicly available information from government databases, court records, corporate registries, and other open sources. It is not a surveillance tool, background check service, or private investigation platform.

2A. AI-Generated Content

Super Scraper uses third-party AI providers (Groq, SambaNova, Cerebras, Google Gemini) for text analysis. By using AI features, you acknowledge:

  • AI outputs are not statements of fact and may contain errors, hallucinations, or biased analysis
  • You must independently verify all AI-generated content before publishing, filing, or acting upon it
  • AI outputs do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, or professional opinions
  • You may not use AI features to track, monitor, or surveil individuals without their knowledge
  • You may not use AI features to infer sensitive personal attributes (race, religion, health, sexuality)
  • You may not use AI outputs for automated decisions about employment, credit, housing, or insurance
  • All AI-generated reports are watermarked as AI-generated from public sources

3. Acceptable Use

You MAY use Super Scraper for:

  • Journalism and investigative reporting
  • Academic and policy research
  • Corporate due diligence and compliance
  • Nonprofit transparency and accountability
  • Legal research and case preparation
  • Personal awareness of public officials' conflicts of interest
  • Open-source intelligence education

You MAY NOT use Super Scraper for:

  • Stalking, harassing, or threatening any person
  • Publishing home addresses, phone numbers, or private information of non-public figures
  • Employment background checks (this is not FCRA-compliant)
  • Tenant screening or housing decisions
  • Credit decisions or financial discrimination
  • Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or any protected class
  • Building surveillance databases of private citizens
  • Circumventing court-ordered privacy protections
  • Any activity illegal under CFAA, ECPA, GDPR, or equivalent laws
  • Reselling bulk data without attribution

3A. FCRA Disclaimer

Super Scraper is NOT a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). The Service does not provide "consumer reports" and may not be used as a factor in establishing eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Any resemblance to a background check service is unintentional and explicitly disclaimed.

4. Account Termination

Accounts violating these terms will be terminated immediately without refund. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to law enforcement.

5. Data Accuracy

Super Scraper aggregates data from 54+ public sources. We do not guarantee that information is current, complete, or error-free. Government databases may contain delays, errors, or outdated records. Always verify critical information against primary sources.

6. Unverified Intelligence

Content from social media and forums (Reddit, Hacker News) is clearly marked as "UNVERIFIED" with Admiralty Scale reliability ratings. Do not publish, share, or act on unverified intelligence without independent confirmation.

7. Payments & Refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are available within 30 days of initial purchase. Token purchases are non-refundable.

8. Open Source

The Super Scraper codebase is MIT licensed. You may fork, modify, and self-host it. The hosted service (superscrape.app) is operated by Super Scraper and subject to these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

Super Scraper is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for decisions made based on data obtained through the Service. Maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Age Restriction

Super Scraper is intended for users 18 years and older.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
